Vacancy Full Time Permanent MPS Teacher

A rare and exciting opportunity for a full time permanent MPS teacher to join our teaching team in September 2020

Norristhorpe is an exceptional place to learn and our team works hard to ensure that pupils flourish and achieve their potential. We help children to grow in confidence and foster a lifelong love of learning, equipping them with the tools to succeed, both now and in the future.

The school was inspected by OFSTED in March 2015 and graded ‘Good’ with outstanding behaviour and safety.  We had a successful short inspection in February 2019 and are looking for a forward thinking individual to join us on our journey to ‘Outstanding’.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and highly motivated teacher.  NQTs are welcome to apply.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an excellent KS2 teacher with outstanding classroom management skills and a strong commitment to raising standards.

  • Have knowledge of the curriculum and assessment.

  • Have a passion for children's learning and a creative approach to teaching.

  • Have the ability to co-ordinate and lead a curriculum subject throughout school (or aspire to in the future).

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work as part of a team, building positive relationships with children, staff and parents.

  • Contribute to the further development of our school by going ‘the extra mile’.

  • Be committed to the safeguarding of children.

As a school we can offer:

  • An opportunity to work in a large, successful primary school.

  • Friendly, well behaved and enthusiastic children.

  • A caring, friendly, committed team of colleagues, with a strong team spirit.

  • Supportive parents and governors.

  • CPD opportunities.

  • A chance to make a difference to the lives of our children.

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged and can be arranged by contacting our School Business Manager, Kay Newton, on 01924 325720 or by e-mailing her on kay.newton@kirkleeseducation.uk

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and expects all staff to share that commitment. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Closing date Noon Friday 20th March 2020

Interviews will be held on Monday 30th March 2020

We always welcome volunteers. Please contact Mrs Newton on 01924 325720 for information.
