Site Supervisor

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Site Supervisor to join our team in September.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious, highly motivated and capable Site Supervisor who will play a key role in maintaining and improving our school environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager to ensure that pupils, staff, governors and visitors are able to work in a welcoming, clean and safe environment. The role is permanent and will be 30 hours per week, 52 week contract. The suggested work pattern is 7.15am to 9.45am and 2.30pm to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, however we can offer some flexibility for the right candidate. Previous school caretaking experience would be beneficial, but is not essential.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is experienced in building and grounds maintenance
  • Has a range of practical skills and can carry out minor repairs/ maintenance tasks within school to a high standard and be competent and confident in carrying out building maintenance work i.e. minor plumbing, repairs, joinery
  • Be able to carry out a wide range of physical tasks that will include lifting and carrying, working at heights etc
  • Has knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety procedures including COSHH and other premises related compliance regulations
  • Is able to work on their own initiative, possesses a strong work ethic and a sense of pride in their role
  • Has flexibility to deal with emergencies and accommodate projects and events outside of normal working hours
  • Possesses excellent organisation and time management skills including the ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities

Relief Lunchtime Supervisors

Our successful school was inspected by OFSTED (May 2024) and graded ‘Good’ with ‘outstanding’ behaviour and attitudes. We are looking to add to our bank of relief Lunchtime Supervisors to support the school on our journey to ‘outstanding’.

You will be responsible for the supervision of pupils on the school site throughout the midday break and will assist in securing the health, safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils, supporting the practices and procedures of the school under the direction of the Lunchtime Manager.

The role requires flexibility and applicants would be required at reasonably short notice.
